B.B. PRODUCTIONS
A
DIY label, apparently a one-off. The 'B.B.' of the label name stood for
Billy Brindle, and his single, which coupled 'My
Kind Of Town (London Is)' with 'Let Me Try Again' (SRTS/79/CUS-561), seems
to have been B.B. Productions's only release. The record was made through custom recording
concern SRT (q.v.), as the catalogue number shows, and it dates from towards
the end of 1979. As can be seen, the label is
of the basic, no-nonsense SRT 'private pressing' type. Billy Brindle released
another single five years later on the Gemibi Promotions label, an anti-hunting song 'The Hunted'
b/w 'They Call It Progress' (GEMIBI-1; 1984). Thanks to Sid Stovold for
drawing the label to my attention.
