BUFFALO
The label of Lincolnshire-based Country music company Dawn
Promotions, Buffalo was dedicated to releasing records by British Country
acts. It doesn't seem to have had a particularly hectic 7" release
schedule, averaging one every year for its first four years, but it also issued
four albums during that period. Singles were numbered in the
BUFF-1000s, LPs in the BUFFL-2000s. Distribution was by
Spartan. BUFF-1001 is listed by Music Master as having been released
in July 1978 through Buffalo; it was made available through distributors
Spartan from March of the following year. Kelvin Henderson later
achieved recognition as the presenter of 'My Style of Country' for BBC
Southwest. His band's single was pressed by Pye. According to
Billboard of the 22nd of July 1978 Ron Ryan was the head of A&R for the
label.
