A Reggae label, run by Webster Shrowder in association with Valdene Ltd, and thus linked to Jamaica Sound (q.v.). Cancer appears to have released just the four singles, using a CAN-700 series (CANS-700 on one occasion), all in or around 1976, but 'Music Master' does however have CAN-702 and CANS-703 as being issued in August 1978 through Valdene - perhaps these were reissues. Mark Griffiths, from whom the ownership information comes, also states that the records were distributed by CBS. The label design remained basically the same throughout Cancer's short life, but the crab was white for the first two releases and the shade of the blue colour varied slightly.
