Another of those sad cases where I can do nothing more than point to the existence of a label. Candy issued at least two singles: 'Mary's Boy Child' b/w 'Boston Roll' by The Coin Collection (8008), and 'Good Timin'' b/w 'Reggae Timin'' by Chris Dors & Eternity (CD-8009). There's no date on the labels of either, but Malice-Cooper of the 45cat site (who kindly brought the label to my attention and supplied the scan) reckons that 1975-77 seems likely, and that looks reasonable to me. The injection moulded nature of the records indicates a Phonodisc pressing. The catalogue numbers suggest that there may be more Candy records out there, but googling doesn't reveal any; that said, it took five years for me to stumble over a reference to the Chris Dors single. News of any more Candys, or indeed additional information of any kind, would be welcome.
