An independent label, presumably from the Canterbury area. There were at least two records on Canterbury Pop, both by Longport Buzz and both dating from the turn of the decade. The first was the 'Canterbury Pop' EP (BUZZ-13; 1979); the second was a single, 'Fun' (BUZZ-14; 1980?). 'Fun' was promising enough to deserve a reissue, on the Criminal Records label, as SWAG-14. The Buzz's music has been described as being like that of Jonathan Richman - quirky stuff, one would imagine. Thanks to Robert Bowes for the scan.
