CAT

An obscurity, but a rather striking one.  The catalogue number of the Artful Dodgers single shown above suggests that Cat Records managed a respectable number of releases, in or around 1978, but as I've only ever found references to four listed below it would appear that the numbering started at thirteen, for some reason.  The Dodgers' effort is a lively Pop-flavoured sort of thing, the Burton-Lloyd-Jones one shown above has a slight Rock'n' Roll Ballad flavour, and the Pat O'Hare is a middle-of-the-road Male Vocal offering.  The songs on all four singles were published by the Diamond Publishing Group, which suggests that the label may have been the record division of that company.  Cat operated out of 45, St. Mary's Road, Ealing, W5.   Pressing was by RCA, distribution by Selecta.
