CCR / ALAN MACK

The second unidentifiable label in a row.  As was the case with 'CC', I've had to name this one after the prefix of its catalogue number.  That said, the catalogue number of Alan Mack's 'Live At The 'Trocadero' Night Spot Nuneaton' EP, CCR-1002, fits into a series used by a company called Capricorn (see 'Capricorn - CCR prefix'), which suggests that the record may have been made through them.  The two releases I know of on Capricorn were Club / Cabaret EPs, and the Alan Mack EP fits nicely into that category.  There's no date on the label but Capricorn CCR-1001 was from 1978, so if this EP actually is a plain-clothes Capricorn that would make a release year of 1978 or 1979 seem very probable.  The Trocadero is reported to have operated from the early '70s into the early '80s, which doesn't contradict that dating.  Thanks to Ade Macrow of 45cat for permission to use his scan.  A scan of the 'A' side, which offers versions of 'For Once In My Life', 'Love Story' and 'The Most Beautiful Girl In The World', can be found on that site.
