CELEBRITY CLUB

Celebrity Club appears to have been one of those one-off DIY marques with which the 1970s was peppered.  An EP by Jeff Sutton featuring 'Bad Bad Leroy Brown' and three other tracks is the only record that I've seen on the label.  As can be seen from the scan, the EP came out in 1975; it was pressed by Phonodisc, and it had a catalogue number of MS-1977, which fits in with a series that was also used by singles on the Beowulf and Royalty labels (q.v. both).  Presumably all three were made through the same company, perhaps a studio offering custom recording facilities.  The fare on the Jeff Sutton record is Club / Cabaret material, delivered with assurance.  A handwritten note on the sleeve says 'Davilda's husband Jeff', if that's any help.
