An Independent label from the Punk years, this City Records issued at least eight singles during the period 1977-83, using a NIK-0 numbering series. The majority came out in the 1970s, and the fifth saw the first appearance on vinyl by prominent Punk band the U.K. Subs, 'CID' (NIK-5; 1978), which was distributed by Spartan.
