CLAY
FAV
A DIY label from 1979, based in the
Lakeland area. Clay Fav issued only one record, Clay Fav's,
'Consignment Stock' EP (CLF-180 / 730). The band and the label were
named after a local thoroughfare, Claife Avenue; the EP got its name because a
rubber stamp with those words on it was available to the band at the time - a
classic piece of DIY-ing. More illustrations and an article can be found
on the Bored Teenagers
site. Thanks to Sam Mauger for the scan.
