COLLETTE
A Reggae label, and a subsidiary of Greenway Records
(q.v.). Collette managed at least one single, 'If It Don't Work Out' by Honey Boy; its catalogue number
was COL-100, and it came out in 1978. Honey Boy Martin owned
the label in association with Norris Shears. The 'Honey Boy' singing on the
record was a different one, Keith Williams; he appeared on any
number of small labels in the '70s, including his own 'Honey'
and 'Honey Boy' imprints (q.v. both). Thanks to Robert Bowes for the
scan and for bringing the label to my attention; thanks also to Mark Griffiths
for the ownership details and for distinguishing between the Honey Boys.
