The first of two ephemeral Independent / DIY labels to bear that name in the 1970s. This Crystal Clear issued at least one single, both sides of which had its own catalogue number. The single was split between New Venture, whose 'Chance' was numbered CC-006, and Paul & The Bolton Sound, whose 'Here We Go Again' was CC-007. The numbers suggest that there should be other Crystal Clears out there, split or otherwise, but I haven't been able to find any. Nor have I been able to discover a link between this Crystal Clear and the one from 1975 (q.v.). Pressing was by Lyntone, and the matrix number of LYN-2928 indicates that the single dates from 1974.
