CTJ
CTJ was a small Reggae label, one of many that came and
went during the '70s. Mark Griffiths writes that it was owned by
Cyril C. Pinnock, and that it operated in 1977. I have only seen two
records on CTJ, both of them singles. Robert Bowes, who was kind enough to
draw my attention to the label, sent along a scan of Ron I's 'Bible'
(CTJ-001). As can be seen from that scan, the company was based at 198
Stroud Green Road, London, N4. Sam Mauger has provided a
scan of a second single, 'Jah Life' by The Equators, which has no catalogue
number on the label; he reports that it has 'CTJ 45' on the
run-off.
