DANCE FOOLS DANCE
An independent form the Punk era, owned by the Cure's Robert Smith and
apparently named after a 1931 MGM film. There seem to have been only
two releases on Dance Fools Dance. First out of the blocks was a
split EP by The Obtainers ('Yeh Yeh Yeh' / 'Pussy Wussy') and the Mag/Spys
('Lifeblood' / 'Bombs). Its catalogue number was GLITCH-1, and it was
issued in July 1979. The label was plain white with a sticker (red or
yellow) on it. Illustrations and an article can be found on the
Bored Teenagers
website. There was then a gap of roughly three years before Animation's
'Frame One' EP (DSD-2; 1982) came out. That EP featured three tracks,
'Secret Life', 'Genevieve', and 'Foreign Lands', and had a plain-looking white
label with the basic credits on it in a 'typewritten' font.
