A Reggae label. If the catalogue number of the only Dread Wax single I have seen - the anonymous 'U Roy Special' shown above - is anything to go by, Dread Wax would appear to have issued at least seven singles, but as is the case with records of West Indian origin the others may not have had a British release. There's nothing on Google about them, anyway. The year of issue of 'U Roy Special' was 1976, and numbering was in a DW-500 series. Mark Griffiths writes that the label may have been associated with Dennis Harris's DIP International company (q.v.).
