EON

A one-off DIY label, but a rather more consequential one than most in that the band responsible for it went on to better things.  The band in question was a 'post-punk' outfit from Liverpool, Modern Eon.  They put out a four-track EP on their own label near the very end of the '70s before going on to record for local independent Inevitable and then for Virgin's 'Dindisc' label (q.v.) in the '80s.  Tracks on the EP were 'Second Still', 'Special Patrol', 'Choreography' and 'The Look A Smack'; its catalogue number was EON-001, which is agreeably logical.  Thanks to Sam Mauger for bringing Eon to my attention and for supplying the scans.
