FAITH MISSION

The record label of a Christian missionary organization with offices in Edinburgh and Belfast.  Catalogue numbers suggest that the Faith Mission issued at least eleven records; the majority of them came out in the 1960s, but, happily, it managed to claim a place on this site by putting the eleventh out in 1970.  The EP in question was by Davina Farquhar; in addition to the two tracks shown above it offered 'Wonderful Healer, Teach Me Again' and 'The Way Of The Cross Leads Home'.  Its catalogue number was FM-11, and its label design bears a strong family resemblance to that used by Craighall Studios (q.v.) of Edinburgh; the matrix number of the Nellie Buchanan EP, JEF FM 7, confirms the Craighall connection.  FM-6 had pale green labels in the same design as that of the first scan.  Stephen Small, who was kind enough to draw the label to my attention, has so far managed to track down the records shown in the discography below; any help with filling-in the gaps would be welcome.  The Faith Mission organization outlived its record label and is still going strong today.  Thanks to Redpunk of the 45cat site for the use of his blue scan here.
