Frank Ifield's label. It would appear that after years spent recording for Columbia, Deacca, Mam and Spark, Ifield decided to strike out on his own for a while; he issued three albums on FI between 1978 and 1982. The only single on FI that I have ever seen is the one pictured above, Barbary Coast's 'American Trilogy' (SRTS/79/CUS-289; 1979), and I wouldn't have known about that one if Sam Mauger hadn't been kind enough to draw the label to my attention. Country band Barbary Coast were Frank Ifield's backing group at the time, so presumably this was one of their solo outings. They also recorded for the Champ label - whose motto was 'The Great British Country Label' - in 1981.
