FLYNN BROTHERS

I don't know if this label was called 'Flynn Brothers', or if indeed it had a name at all, but in 1979 Folk duo The Flynn Brothers put out a self-finaced EP called 'Time And Chance' featuring 'John Parfitt' - a song about a man killed on the Duke of Norfolk's estates in Yorkshire the year before - and three other tracks.  There was no logo on the label, nor anything to suggest that the brothers had given their label a name, but as I've got to call it something 'Flynn Brothers' will have to do.  The label was of plain design: it was white with black printing, and had the artists' name at the top and the song titles at the bottom. The catalogue number, NJ-1, reflected the brothers' names, Nick and James.  Googling has failed to reveal any other NJs; the brothers made a couple of albums in the 1990s, but those came out on Annadale Records.  'John Parfitt' was covered by Martin Carthy on his 'Signs Of Life' album.
