A Reggae label; part of the Trojan group. Grape wasn't dedicated to the work of any particular producer. It operated from 1969-73 and appeared in two forms: a plain purple one until c. GR-3017, and a yellow and green one subsequently. The text 'Made in England' appeared on records from GR-3025 onwards, though 3060 and 3062 lack it. Manufacture seems to have been generally by Orlake, as it was for most of Trojan's products at the time. The scan of the purple label comes by courtesy of Robert Bowes.
