JAMMY
One of the labels of Glasgow-based
publishing firm Jammy Music, the other being the '80s-only 'The
Jammy Music Library'. Jammy's sole '70s release was an EP
by Rock band Underhand Jones: it came out in 1978 and contained the tracks
'Only Make Believe', 'It's Alright', 'Little Lady' and 'Music Maker', all of
which were original compositions. Its catalogue number
was JRUJ-1. Pressing was by Lyntone, as the matrix number
(LYN-5678) attests. The company issued records sporadically from 1980 until at
least 1988: there were several singles, with JRS-xx0 catalogue numbers ('xx' being the last two numbers in the
year of issue), and a series of LPs collectively entitled 'The Jammy Music
Library'. Thanks to Sam Mauger for bringing the label to my attention and to
Stephen Small for the scan.
