JOTA
Jota - I assume it was 'Jota' but as I have only ever seen a tiny scan
of it and the label name was in a swirly script font I may be mistaken - would
seem to have been a small independent concern: the label design, the top half of
which featured the silhouette of a child looking across a sea to a distant shore
under a starry sky, was much more ambitious than the average DIY
one. The only record that I have seen on Jota was an EP by Towards
Infinity, 'Living In These Times' (JR-101; 1977). The titles of the
songs on the EP suggest Christian content: as well as the title track there were
'Light Of My Soul', 'Saving Song' and 'Sail Away'. Printing was in
black, on a white background, with the label name under the spindle hole.
