QUESTORS / THE QUESTORS LTD.

The label of The Questors Theatre Company, of Ealing.  Questors issued at least one record: an EP of songs from its 1973 production of Shakespeare's 'As You Like It', with music composed and played by Don Kincaid.  The songs on it were 'Under The Greenwood Tree', 'Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind', and 'It Was A Lover And His Lass'; they were sung by Vincent McQueen, Neville Cruttenden and other members of the company.  It hadn't got a catalogue number: the matrix markings on the run-off were merely 'QUESTOR' and 'QUESTORS B-1'.  Pressing was by C.H. Rumble, as the labels helpfully state.  The picture sleeve says that the EP was 'Released by The Questors Ltd.' but I've listed the label under 'Questors' rather than 'The Questors Ltd' as it's even less likely that anybody will ever search for the latter than they will the former.  Both the theatre and the company are still going today (2018), but Googling fails to provide evidence that they have been responsible for any other records - if there are any more out there I'd be interested to hear about them.
