REALM

Realm appears to have been a DIY label.  The only record on it that Googling brings up is an EP by Merseyside musician / singer / comedian /actor Vince Earl, featuring versions of 'You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine', 'God Only Knows', 'Love Hurts' and 'I Believe'.  The catalogue number of the EP, VE-006, suggests that there may be Realms out there, but it seems odd that there would be no trace of any of them and I doubt that they exist - perhaps the '006' had some other significance, or was just a fancy of some sort.  There's no year on the record, but 'You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine' was a hit for Lou Rawls in July 1976, which gives us a 'Not before' date.  There's a 'CRS' in the run-off, which according to Discogs indicates that the County Recording Service (q.v.) was involved; the only examples of the mark that Discogs gives are from between 1977 and 1981, which provides us with a bit of extra evidence.  Finally the seller of my copy said that it was bought at a gig in the '70s.  On balance, then, I'm prepared to give Realm a page on this site, and if I had to put money on a year for the EP I'd go for 1978.  News of any other Realm records would be welcome.
