ROCK (2)

This Rock Records appears to have been a one-off, despite its 'Force Of The Future' motto.  An EP by Naviede featuring covers of 'Guess It Doesn't Matter Any More', 'Running Bear' and 'Sea Cruise' in addition to the self -penned 'Love Is Forever' is the only record on Rock that Googling dredges up.  As can be seen from the scan which Nicholas Hough has kindly provided, it had a catalogue number of RR-1.  There's no date on the label, but the commonest opinion on the net is that it is from 1979.  My own list gives October of that year as being the month of release; sadly I failed to note where that information came from, so I have been unable to check it.  The three covers were also included on Naviede's 'Rock And Roll Greats' LP (PDSLP-1), which came out on the Paris Dix-Sept label in 1978; whether these are the same tracks or re-recordings remains to be established.  Paris Dix-Sept again seems to have been a one-off label; it and Rock may well have been DIY efforts.  Naviede had scored something of a success with a single called 'Around My Head', which was issued first on Buk (BUK-3011) in July 1975 and again on Bulldog (BD-11) in December of the following year; it failed to chart on either occasion but the ease with which the Bulldog version can be found suggests that it shifted a decent number of copies.  His EP on Rock Records looks to have sold far less prolifically.
