Sea Song seems to have been a vehicle for Christian Rock band Really Free, which was formed by evangelist and prolific songwriter Cliff Bergdahl in 1973. It issued a couple of singles by them: 'Ethiopian Child' b/w 'Jesus 75' (RFSM-001) came out in 1975, and was followed three years later by 'New Day Dawning' b/w 'Thank You Jesus' (RFSM-002). By that point the line-up had changed, with Cliff Bergdahl being the only remaining original member. Pressing of the first single was by Phonodisc, thus the injection moulded labels; the second was pressed by Orlake. Steve Hill, who kindly drew my attention to the label, likens the sound of 'New Day Dawning' to that of Thin Lizzy. The band went on to make an album and a cassette for Christian label Plankton in the '80s.
