An independent label from the Punk / New Wave era, Spy issued just the one record, an EP featuring 'Busted Chevrolet' and three other tracks by American band Harry Toledo & the Rockets (SPY-001; 2/'78). The style of the matrix numbers in the run-offs suggest that Orlake was responsible for the metalwork, but the steep bevel and the 25mm raised island around the spindle hole point to the actual manufacture being done by Linguaphone. Distribution was by Faulty Products. The titles on the labels appear to have been printed wrongly, those of the 'A' side tracks being on the 'B' side label and vice versa.
