Another of those sad cases where all I can do is report the existence of a label and provide a scan. A single by the Sleazy Street Stove Pipe Band, 'Winter Drawers On' b/w 'Stove Pipe Band March', is the only record on this particular Star Records label that I have been able to track down. A note on the picture sleeve says that the band was 'Now appearing at Sherry's Dixieland Showbar, Brighton', which may offer a clue about where the company was based. Pressing was by EMI, and the songs on the disc could be described as 'Novelty Jazz'. The catalogue number of the single, ST-22, suggests that there ought to be other Star Records out there, but google is too blunt a tool to track them down. Any additional information would be welcome.
