STILE
A short-lived label
owned by one of Britain's premier Country & Western bands, The Hillsiders,
and their manager, George Edwards. After recording for majors Decca,
RCA Victor and Polydor the band set up their own
label, Stile, in 1975. It appears to have survived for about
a year, issuing just two albums by them and this one single,
'Goodbye Scottie Road, by Scottie Road (STILE-001; 1976) during its brief existence. The
company had offices in London (in Atney Road, Putney, SW 15) and
in Liverpool (in Ulverston Lawn, Woodlands Estate, L27). Thanks to Robert
Bowes for bringing the label to my attention.
