TEARAWAY
One of many DIY labels from the Punk / New Wave. Tearaway was
owned by Portsmouth Punk band The Media; the only record to appear on the label
was that band's, 'No Darling I Love The Media' EP (TA-001; 1979), which featured
'T.V. Kids' and three other tracks. The labels had a hand-drawn
appearance: examples can be seen at the Bored
Teenagers site. The band changed musical direction during the Mod
revival and had a single out on the Brain Boosters label, 'South Coast City
Rockers' b/w 'Back On The Beach Again' (BB-004; 1980).
