TRAFFIC
Traffic would appear to have been a small independent
label. It issued at least one record: a single by UK
Country unit Haz Eliot with Feeling, 'Annie (Do You Know)' b/w 'With Pen In Hand', which
had catalogue numbers of TR-106 and TR-107 (one number for each side) and came
out in 1975. The numbers suggest that there ought to be other Traffic records out
there, but so far there's no sign of them; if they exist, they
too may possibly be in a country vein. Haz Eliot and his band made
two albums around that time: 'Haz Eliot With Feeling' on custom recording label
SRT (SRTM-73344; 1974), and 'By Demand' on Westwood (WRS-074; 1975). I'm fairly certain that the
appearance of the label, with that pronounced bevel and the narrow
raised area around the spindle hole, indicates a Linguaphone pressing.
