TRIAL
An independent label, owned by Steve
Guy-Clark. Trial operated from 1979-c.84, during which period it
issued at least eight singles. Numbering was in a CASE-0 series; an
initial yellow label (1) had been replaced by a less bright but more decorative
blue-and-silver design by the time CASE-4 came out. The first three
Trial singles were by Suffolk NWOBHM band Trespass, whose 'One Of These Days'
b/w 'Bloody Moon' (CASE-1; 12/79) provided the label with its only release of
the 1970s.
