T AND P
A one-off label, apparently a division of Storm Records
(q.v.) of Rudgwick. T and P's sole offering was an EP of material by Vince
Taylor & His Playboys (PFE-1; 1978). The names of the two tracks
on the 'A' side, 'I'll Be Your Hero' and 'Jet Black Machine' are those of
an early single by the band on Palette; there's nothing on the label to say
whether these were re-recordings or not, but Storm does appear to have
specialized in licensing original material, so... Tracks on the reverse
were 'Move Over Tiger' and 'Watcha Gonna Do'. Plastic Fantastic handled
the marketing, while manufacture and distribution was by Pye, as it was for all
the Plastic Fantastic labels at this period. The scan of the label appears
here by kind permission of the 45cat site - the original,
which is the property of Make1968, has been adjusted for slightly greater
legibility; the original, and other scans, can be seen by following the
link.
