100 PIPERS

The 100 Pipers Band EP 'Live Like A Laird' seems to have been the
only release on the 100 Pipers label. It had a catalogue number of
PIP-100; there's no date on either the record or its cover, but its matrix
number, LYN-2630, indicates that it came out in 1972. As can be seen
from the label, pressing was by custom-pressing concern
Lyntone. There's no label name on there, but fortunately the gatefold
picture sleeve gives it as '100 Pipers'. Musical content was pretty much
what you would expect after reading the titles: traditional-sounding Scottish
songs with bags of pipes. The sleeve gives the location of the recording
as Command Studios, Piccadilly.
