3/4/5 NURSERY COURSE

A series of EPs for children, made by London-based specialists in educational play 345 Limited.  The records first appeared in 1972.  They were numbered in the 345-100s, and had white labels upon which the various details were printed; the printing was done in a different colour for each record (1, 2).  Arwyn Davies has kindly mailed to say that the 'Nursery Course' EPs came with books of activities related to the particular themes and were issued monthly - they do indeed have 'Month 1', 'Month 2' and so on on the label.  The following year all twelve EPs were made available again, this time with picture labels (3, 4).  Again, each label came in a different colour; I've scanned just two of them, as examples, but the whole series can be found on the 45cat site.  There was no mention of months on these labels, though the numbers were retained; it seems possible that the records were issued as a set.  They came in a white sleeve inside a printed polythene cover (5).  Both series were pressed by Pye.
