A small independent label from Eastbourne run by Banger Car racer Michael Baldry, which may well explain the 'auto hire' reference. ABC Auto Hire put out three records, all of them by Baldry's band Rollerball, which featured fellow racer Gareth Jones. There were two singles, 'Teach Me To Rock & Roll' b/w 'I'm So Lonely' (ABC-1) and 'Let's Go To America' b/w 'She's A Loner' (MBC-2), and an LP, 'Teach Me To Rock & Roll' (MBCLP-1). None had a date on the label but the general opinion online is that they all came out in 1979. The singles are modestly collectable.
