An independent label from Nantgaredig, Dyfed, founded by Hywel Williams. Catalogue numbers suggest that Afon issued four singles, employing a RAS-00 numerical series, but I've only managed to track down three of them, which are listed below. They came out in 1975-76, and Linguaphone was responsible for at least two of the pressings. I suppose that most people know that 'Afon' means 'river', but I thought I'd better mention it just in case. If anyone knows what RAS-03 was I'd be interested to hear about it - Y Blog Recordiau Cymraeg reports speculation that it might have been intended to be a record by a band called Cwrwgl Sam but that it was never released. The blog also contains pictures and artists' biographical information about the three known Afon releases.
