One of the many DIY labels which appeared during the Punk / New Wave era, Albatross issued at least three singles during the period 1978-79. Catalogue numbers were in a TIT-0 series. Distribution of the first of them, the Art Attacks single 'I Am A Dalek' (TIT-1; 1978), was initially by Albatross themselves, according to an advert in 'Music Week' of the 29th of April 1978, and later by Lightning. Marketing of the next two was undertaken by Plastic Fantastic, which led to distribution being by Pye ('MW' 2nd December 1978) and later Spartan, after Plastic Fantastic switched distributors.
