AUNTY PAT'S SOUND
A DIY label. Aunty Pat's Sound was named after
the band that was responsible for what appears to have
been the only record released on that label, an EP featuring 'Home In The
Morning', 'Force 8', 'Twylight' and 'Lyin' Eyes'. The catalogue number of the EP was APS-001,
and it came out in 1976; pressing was by Phonodisc, as the
injection moulded label indicates. The band would seem to have been a Club /
Cabaret act, and the fare on offer consists of two twangy
Shadowsish instrumentals and a pair of Country Rock songs - 'Lyin'
Eyes' is a cover of the Eagles' track. Thanks to Robert Bowes, who kindly
drew the label to my attention and provided the scan of the copy
with the 'spider' adaptor.
