BLACK STAG
An obscure Reggae label, apparently a one-off.
The only Black Stag record which Googling brings to light is the
one shown in the scan above, which Nicholas Hough has kindly provided: 'Why Do
You Leave Me To Cry' by Lloyd Vandel & Heptones. It came out in 1973
with a catalogue number of BS-100, and had a 'Version' on the 'B' side.
The layout of the label is reminiscent of that of Pama, as are the fonts, and
that kind of three-pronged dink suggests a British Homophone pressing. If
anybody knows of a BS-101, or can provide any more information, I'd be pleased to hear from them.
