BW (1)

The first of two BW labels, both of which came on the scene in November 1979.   As it says on the label, this particular BW was the record label of Brent Walker Records and Music Division Ltd, which was presumably an arm of George Walker's leisure and cinema company.  I've only been able to trace one record on BW, the single 'I Feel Lucky Tonight', by The Stylistics; it did however come out twice, being first issued in November 1979, with the catalogue number BW-1, through Charmdale (1), and then again, in February 1980, with a new number (SBW-10), through CBS (2).  I generally try to avoid putting 1980s labels up, but in this case it seemed reasonable to make an exception for the sake of mild interest; so there it is.  'I Feel Lucky Tonight' was taken from the soundtrack of the Brent Walker film, 'The Bitch'; oddly, it wasn't featured on the Warwick Records album '20 Smash Disco Hits Including The Original Soundtrack 'The Bitch' (WW-5061; 1979), but 'Just Like We Never Said Goodbye' - which isn't listed as being on the film's soundtrack - does appear on that record.
