CONTACT
A subsidiary of Robert
Kingston's RK Records. Contact was aimed
at the Disco market, according to 'Music Week' of the 24th
of March 1979. It released seven
singles in 1979, but its eighth and final one, a medley of two John Lennon
songs, 'Imagine / Give Peace A Chance' b/w 'Kumbaya', by the Pestalozzi International Children's
Village Choir, didn't appear until the end of 1981 - that record had a plain
yellow label instead of a shaded blue one. Numbering was in the CON-0s; CON-1 came out
in red vinyl. Promo copies of the first two singles had
a small 'A' below ths spindle hole (2), the remainder had a
larger 'A' enclosing the hole (3). Manufacture and distribution were by Pye / PRT, as they
were for the parent company.
