CRAB AIR

Crab Air - motto 'Fly Sideways With Crab Air' - was home
to just the one record, an EP entitled 'Fly Away' by Brett Morrell, whom, I
would assume, owned the label. Profits from the record went to the RAF's
'Battle Of Britain Museum' appeal fund. The EP came in a picture sleeve,
was pressed by EMI, and had a catalogue number of AFEP-1. The music on it
was quite varied: 'Fly Away' is Brit-Pop-ish, in a primitive sort of way,
and 'Crazy 'Bout Me' is basic Rock 'n' Roll; while of the two tracks on the
'B' side, 'It's All Over Now' is vaguely Psychedelic Folk, and 'Penny' is
acoustic Singer / Songwriter stuff. Altogether it's a more interesting
mixture than the picture on the sleeve - a cartoon of Brett in front of two
aircraft hangars - promised.
