DIAMOND (DS prefix)
The second Diamond label of the '70s was a small independent
company from Winchester, Hampshire. It appears to have put out just one
record, an EP offering three Classical pieces sung by the Choir of Winchester
College Chapel under conductor Raymond Humphrey, the pieces in being Stanford's
'Benedictus In C', 'Jubilate Deo' by Britten, and Mozart's 'Ave Verum Corpus'.
The EP came out in 1978 with a catalogue number of DS-701. The style of
the labels suggests that it was made through custom recording firm Craighall
Studios, of Edinburgh (q.v.), while the pressing marks point to Linguaphone as
