DISCREET

American. DiscReet was owned by Frank Zappa, and was the
successor to the 'Straight' (q.v.) and 'Bizarre' labels. It was
mainly an avenue for records, and productions, by Zappa. It lasted
from 1973 to 1979, and concentrated on albums - singles on the British version
of the DiscReet label are uncommon; not many were issued, and those which were
issued don't appear to have sold in any great volume. DiscReet was
handled by WEA over here; its singles were numbered in a K-19200 series,
starting at that number.
