D. J.
D.
J. appears to have been a one-off DIY label. Its sole issue was a
single, 'Say Goodbye' by Punk / Rock band The Distrainers, who were based in
Leicester. The recording was made by custom recording concern Beck
Studios (q.v.), as the 'BECK' prefix of the catalogue number
indicates. Initially a Punk band, The Distrainers soon moved into the
NWOBHM field. They put down a further three tracks in 1980, but those
didn't see the light of day until 2006. Thanks to Sam Mauger for the
scan. The label seems to have come in two colours, white and
yellow.
