FORUM MUSIC
A custom-recording company, judging by the nature of its
products, which were Club / Cabaret fare. I have only been able to
track down four Forum Music records, all of them singles. In addition
to Atlantis's 'California Dreaming' b/w 'Be My Baby' (LYN-3797; 1976) and 'So
Deep Is The Night' b/w 'Paris' (LYN-4090; 1977), pictured above, they were 'Simple Man' by Night & Day (LYN-3337; 1976) and 'Paris' b/w 'Sound
Of Silence' by James Moon (LYN-4318; 1977). The label of the Night & Day record was of
the same design as the ones shown above but was silver-on-black; the James Moon was silver-on-red. Manufacture was by Lyntone, and catalogue numbers were taken from Lyntone's own main series - both sides
of a single were numbered consecutively, after the Lyntone fashion. Forum Music was based in Deans Lane, Edgware, Middlesex. In addition to its own releases it was also involved in the production of singles
on the Adella and S.T. labels (q.v. both). Thanks to Robert Bowes
for bringing the company to my attention.
