MOO
Apparently
a one-off DIY label. An EP entitled 'If It Moves Sit
It Down, If It Stays Still Wake It Up', by a band from Warrington named Moonshine, seems
to have been Moo's only release. It contained four tracks, two of
which were written by Paul Blease and two by David Buckley, who were members of the band:
'Too Young To Lose', 'Round And Round', 'She Is Mine', and 'Ring
Round The Roses'. Its catalogue number was MOO-1. Some sources give 1976 as the year of
issue and others 1977, but the record has 1976 on one of its labels.
The band had previously been responsible for a single on
the K.J. Roberts Promotions label (q.v.), 'Susannah' b/w 'Garden Of
Men' (ZDR-56312) which some sources date as 1969 but which I suspect was from
between 1972 and 1975; the second of those tracks has been included on 'We Can
Fly, Vol. 2', a CD of obscure British Psychedelia. Both the single
and the EP command decent prices. Thanks to Klepsie of 45cat for
bringing Moo to my attention.
