NOW (N
prefix)
A Scottish independent label. NOW - it stood
for 'North Of Watford' - released at least three singles, in
an N-700 series, in 1979-80. The John Humphries book 'Music Master -
British Pop Singles 1975-84' lists a fourth single, by Kirsty
MacColl, called 'Berlin', and says that it appeared in both 7" and 12"
formats with the catalogue numbers NOW-101 and NOWX-101 respectively. The year
of its release was said to be 1983, and the distributor IDS. However,
there's no sign of that single online, in either format, which suggests that it
never reached the shops. The earlier singles were
pressed by Lyntone and apparently distributed by NOW itself.
