PALACE

A DIY label from Manchester. Palace was the outlet for records by
popular and successful female impersonator Frank 'Foo Foo' Lammar. It put
out two LPs: 'My Life At The Palace', in 1975, and 'My Own Special
Creation', in the mid '80s. The record which qualifies it for
this site, however, was a 1975 EP featuring 'On A Clear Day', 'Till', 'You'll
Never Walk Alone' and 'My Way', which are all Club / Cabaret
standards. The catalogue number of the EP, MAG-0007, was one of a series
used by custom recording concern Magnum Recording Studios, of Hyde,
Cheshire - see 'Magnum (Custom)' for some of their other releases.
Pressing was by Phonodisc, thus the injection moulded labels.
